Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
TempProva ("we", "our") provides a web-based food safety temperature logging tool for small restaurants and food trucks. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
1. Information we collect
- Accounts & logs: when you create a free account, we store your email, a salted password hash, and your temperature readings and photos securely in our database. Your logs are tied to your account so you can access them on any device.
- Waitlist signups: your email address, the source page, and the time you signed up. We use this only to send you the free template and early-access updates.
- Photo temperature reading: when you use the AI photo-reading feature, the photo you select is sent temporarily to our AI provider to read the temperature value, and a copy is stored with your reading as proof. You can delete any reading (and its photo) at any time.
- Notifications: if you enable push reminders, we store an anonymous push endpoint so we can send you a reminder notification when a log is missed.
2. How we use information
- To send you the free checklist template and waitlist updates.
- To operate and improve the product.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing.
3. Data retention & deletion
Account data (logs, photos, preferences) is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us; we will permanently erase your records. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them. You can also clear offline demo data at any time by resetting your browser's local storage for this site.
4. Cookies & analytics
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. We may use basic, privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate usage.
5. Children's privacy
TempProva is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
6. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
